Saltwater Waste and Landscape Change, Smackover Field, Arkansas

Abstract: The most enduring legacy of inadequate waste management in old hydrocarbon fields is the extensive saltwater‐scarred landscapes present in many of these areas. The features may be prominent for decades after saltwater disposal.
