The Radio‐frequency radiation (RFR) is nonionizing, electromagnetic energy that extends from 3 kilohertz (kHz) to 300 gigahertz (GHz) in the health professions. The order‐of‐magnitude band for RFR and sub‐RF portion of the spectrum has been presented. The frequencies in the specific bands have been allocated for different applications. Besides this, specific frequencies have been designated for industrial, scientific, and medical (ISM) uses. It has been found that if the potential exposure exceeds the action limit, i.e., approximately 1/5
th
of the exposure limit, then a RF safety program (RFSP) should be implemented and maintained.
