“…The results of the retrospective cohort study (Li A et al) 29 showed, consistent with previous observational studies, that the use of masks reduced the risk of infection by SARS-CoV-2, in both the case of N95 masks (OR, 0.5; 95% CI, 0.28 to 0.90) and the case of surgical masks (OR, 0.45; 95% CI, 0.29 to 0.72).…”

“…Regarding adherence to infection prevention and control procedures during health care interactions, the constant study revealed that, more than two third of studied health care workers were always as recommended wear medical mask. This result was supported by the result of (Li, et al, 2021) who mentioned that slightly more than half of studied health care workers wear medical mask when performing non aerosolizing, routine patient care and any other procedure. Also, this result was in agreement with the result of (Picard, et al, 2020) who revealed that more than two third of studied health care workers were represented wearing mask.…”

“…Nineteen studies compared the effectiveness of different types of masks for reducing transmission of SARS-CoV-2: four studies (two RCTs, two observational) in community settings [14,16,23,47] and 15 studies (one RCT, 14 observational) in healthcare settings [50,52,57,68,[70][71][72][73][74]78,80,[82][83][84]88].…”
