“…In addition to Ti 3 C 2 T X , other MXene NSs, especially V 4 C 3 T x and V 2 CT x , have been studied for gas sensing applications. 23,332 The detection limits of V 2 CT x to CH 4 and H 2 were found to be 9 and 1 ppm, respectively. 277 Recently, V 4 C 3 T x was used as a sensor for the selective detection of acetone and exhibited a LOD of B1 ppm because of the difference in adsorption energy.…”

“…In addition to HER, other catalytic processes of M‐doped M 2 C compounds have been calculated such as CO adsorption, [ 140 ] CO oxidation, [ 135,136 ] oxygen evolution reaction (OER), [ 138,141 ] oxygen reduction reaction (ORR), [ 130,141 ] and nitrogen reduction reaction (NRR). [ 127 ] The M‐doped MXenes are sensitive to small molecules such as NO and CO. As shown in Figure a, the distances between adsorbed CO and Mn‐doped M 2 CO 2 are in the order of Sc 2 CO 2 < Hf 2 CO 2 < Zr 2 CO 2 < Ti 2 CO 2 , demonstrating strong adsorption of CO molecules for Mn‐doped Sc 2 CO 2 .It should be noted that good adsorption is not only a condition for the application of gas sensors since the detection of a gas molecule is dependent on a measurable property variation.…”

“…Therefore, Mn‐doped Sc 2 CO 2 is proved to be a promising material for gas sensors based on measuring the change of resistance. [ 140 ] In order to realize the practical applications, other parameters of gas sensors should be taken into consideration such as response/recovery time, desorption speed, and long‐term cycling stability, that also can be tuned by the compositional engineering. Moreover, the CO oxidation reaction on MXenes can be promoted by elemental doping/substituting.…”

“…In order to further explore the performance of CO-SCR denitrification, Shen et al [187] found that the operating temperature window moved towards low temperature after Fe co-doping with Mn-Ce/TiO 2 . Yang et al [193] studied the application of gas sensor in denitrification.Chen et al [194] studied the CO+NO reaction on Pd/Al 2 O 3 and Pd/CeZrO 2 catalysts. Cheng et al [195] prepared Pd/LaFeO 3 nanoparticle catalysts supported on LaFeO 3 by two-step precipitation-deposition method.…”
