Abstract:An analytical theory is proposed to describe incompressible plane and axisymmetric turbulent boundary layer flows in favorable and adverse pressure gradients for near-equilibrium conditions. Scaling laws for the mean velocity, the Reynolds stress components, and the skin friction have been established.
