Scaling Theory for Critical Phenomena in Coupled Magnetic Systems —Critical Exponents of πd Antiferromagnets—

Abstract: The scaling theory for critical phenomena is extended to coupled magnetic systems that consist of two subsystems, and some extended relations of critical exponents are derived. It is shown that the extended theory practically reduces to the conventional scaling theory in ferromagnets and in non-ferromagnetic systems with β 1 = β 2 ; however, the extended form of the theory can be relevant otherwise, where β 1 and β 2 are exponents of the order parameters in subsystems 1 and 2, respectively.
