The authors recommendation is to perform the dressing with nonadherent wound contact layer (eg, fatty gauze) on top and apply Betadine gel (Braunol; B. Braun, Milan, Italy), silver sulfadiazine or other silver dressings to the edge, followed by traditional compressive over the bandage.…”
