School Distress in UK school children: A story dominated by neurodivergence and unmet needs

Abstract: As education becomes increasingly centralised, it is important to understand why some children and young people (CYP) in the UK have become too distressed to attend school, or who manage to attend school but at a considerable cost to their mental health and wellbeing.
