Purpose. To solve the problem of the allocation of contact vertical normal tensions along the sole of a rigid round stamp, located in an elastic isotropic half-space at a certain depth h  0. To compare the obtained solution with the well-known classical result for h = 0, to check the obtained results for adequacy. Methodology. Based on the analysis of the decision on the stress-strain state of the base, inside which there is a vertical arbitrary load distributed over the area of the circle, the necessary formulas are obtained to solve the problem. An algorithm for constructing an approximate solution has been developed, the essence of which is to use a combination of the boundary element method and the iteration process by S.N.Klepikov. For a number of depths, approximate solutions of the considered problem are obtained. Findings. The proposed algorithm for the approximate solution of the problem of indenting a round rigid stamp into the upper boundary of an elastic isotropic half-space has good agreement with the exact solution and can be used to solve contact problems. The outlines of the contact stress diagrams depend on the depth at which they are determined – the greater the depth, the flatter the outlines of the diagrams are, while starting from a certain depth, the diagrams of contact stresses practically coincide. The greater the depth is at which the stamp is located, the more force must be applied to obtain equal displacements of the stamp. Originality. The obtained research results significantly expand the possibilities of solving various problems of soil mechanics and foundation engineering, make it possible to obtain absolutely new results. In particular, a clear dependence of the contact stresses along the sole of a rigid round stamp on the depth at which it is located was identified. In addition, the presented data allow us to designate an absolutely new direction in the calculation of the foundations of ground anchors, namely, the calculation of their deformations. Practical value. For engineering practice, it is important that the greater the value of Poisson’s ratio of the base is, the greater the contact stresses are, other things being equal.

The relevance of the study is due to the fact that despite the sustainable development of methods and technologies for creating models of various classes and purposes, the tasks of managing their quality (the so-called inverse problems of theoretical qualimetry) are often neglected. For example, in the field of information technology, much more attention is paid to assessing the quality of software products, which is reflected in the corresponding standards. These tasks become especially relevant when models reflect a complex process (CP), and such processes may be unique, and obtaining complete objective data on such CPs prior to modeling is difficult or impossible (accidents and disasters models, military operations, natural disasters, and others like that). The article’s main purpose is to consider the issues of solving the inverse qualimetric problem by parametric adaptation of analytical models to unpredictable possible changes in the complex processes’ nature. The solution to this problem is based on the combined (analytical and simulation) modeling of unique processes. Theoretical qualimetry involves a quantitative assessment of any product's qualitative properties; to ensure the adequacy level of analytical models (based on the results of their parametric adaptation), it is planned to evaluate with the use of well-known metrology principles regarding relative measurement deviations. In this case, detailed simulation modelling results are used as a reference for combined modelling. The complexity of the processes conditiond by the expediency of their polymodel description in order to mutually compensate for the objective deficiencies of heterogeneous models, as well as the use of simulation capabilities to adjust the parameters of analytical models in cases where the use of the latter is due to strict time constraints on obtaining calculation results and developing control actions based onthem. A variant of the formalized statement of the problem of parametric adaptation of analytical models is presented. A presented example that considers the adaptation of parameters of the Lanchestertype analytical model conducted on simulation data. The adaptation of parameters could be carried out in different ways, and the expediency of choosing a certain one is determined by the assessment of mutual deviations of the results of heterogeneous modeling. The results of the calculations witnesses that parametric adaptation can be an effective element in solving one of the key tasks of model qualimetry, namely, ensuring their required qualitative properties. The prospect of further research is to consider the issues of structural adaptation of simulation models to the given conditions for displaying complex processes.

The article considers modern methodological approaches to the formation of leadership competencies of future transport industry specialists. The paper provides definitions of such key concepts as "leader", "leadership", "leadership competencies" and "leadership competencies of future specialists in transport technologies". It has been found that the process of forming leadership competencies in educational institutions at the present stage should take place throughout the entire period of study in an educational institution, as well as during educational work, and be purposeful, meaningful and systematic. The main types of educational activities, methods and technologies of teaching, which are used to form leadership competencies in students, are characterized. It is proved that in educational activities and in educational work it is necessary to use information and communication technologies that provide ample opportunities for personal development and formation of leadership competencies of students, motivate students, reveal their leadership potential, and promote the development of skills to argue and defend their position. It has been researched, that students should be involved in the work of student self-government bodies, in the work of volunteer organizations, clubs, sections, etc. It is substantiated that teachers play a key role in shaping the leadership competencies of future transport industry professionals, they are fully responsible for unlocking their leadership potential and developing their leadership competencies. Therefore, teachers must have a thorough knowledge of fundamental knowledge of leadership, psychology, and pedagogy and the ability to apply it effectively and pass it on to students.
