Abstract:Cryptogenic organising pneumonia (COP) is a form of idiopathic diffuse interstitial lung disease (ILD) that develops in response to a variety of unknown irritants. An essential component of the development of organising pneumonia (OP) is damage to type II pneumocytes and the alveolar basement membrane.
