Abstract:Limited studies have investigated the role of the microbiota in hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP), particularly preeclampsia, which often results in preterm birth. We evaluated 23 studies that explored the relationship between gut, vaginal, oral, or placental microbiotas and HDP.
