Abstract:Cyclic ADP‐ribose (cADPR) has emerged as a calcium‐regulating second messenger in smooth muscle cells. CD38 protein possesses ADP‐ribosyl cyclase and cADPR hydrolase activities and mediates cADPR synthesis and degradation.
