Abstract:Deoxyuridine triphosphate pyrophosphatase (DUT) suppresses incorporation of uracil into genomic DNA during replication. Thermostable DUTs from hyperthermophilic archaea such as Thermococcus pacificus enhance PCR amplification by preventing misincorporation of dUTP generated by spontaneous deamination of dCTP.
