Scrambled Time-Bin Encoding for Efficient High-Dimensional Quantum Key Distribution

Abstract: We propose analyze and demonstrate a novel high-dimensional quantum key distribution protocol. We implement the protocol using a software update in a standard two-dimensional system and observe a twofold enhancement in the secure key rate.
