Screening Mechanism and Properties of a Cantilevered Vibrating Sieve for Particles Processing

Abstract: Screening of fine wet particles or near-aperture particles by traditional screen devices is often not quite effective for sieve plugging. Different from traditional rigid regular mesh sieves, a cantilevered vibrating sieve (CVS) with open screen holes, composed of cantilevered sieve rods, was proposed in this paper. The CVS proved to have a higher screen-penetrating probability relative to traditional sieves. By establishing a bending vibration model for the CVS, it can be found that additional vibrations may … Show more

“…The influence of different factors on vibratory screening accuracy is comprehensively studied in [6]. The thorough design calculations and performance analysis of certain elements of the screens are presented in [7,8]. The problems of investigating the dynamic behavior of various types of vibratory screens are also widely covered in numerous papers, particularly in [9,10].…”

This problem makes it difficult for fine particles to penetrate the screen, so the screening effect cannot satisfy the normal needs of the enterprise.…”

“…Appropriate coal preparation is the most effective method to approach the clean coal concept. , The screening operation is a critical process of coal beneficiation, which is widely used in mineral classification, coal desliming, tailings dewatering, and product demineralization. The traditional linear vibrating screens are easily accumulated at the feeding end when the production load increases. This problem makes it difficult for fine particles to penetrate the screen, so the screening effect cannot satisfy the normal needs of the enterprise. , To solve this problem of material accumulation, in the 1960s, Burstlein proposed an equal-thickness screening method on the basis of the models to simulate motions of material flocks.…”

“…In the industry, two main classes of screens are used: resonant type and above resonance type. Various constructions of vibrating screens and the tuning of their technological parameters are discussed in [7][8][9][10][11]. The resonance regime is desirable; however, its control is complicated due to vulnerability of the sieving process to changes in bulk material thickness, particle distribution over the deck and their physical properties [12,13].…”
