Seabed Stability Evaluation Studies Using Shear Wave Propagation Phenomena

AM DAVIS,
H CHRISTIAN,
DG HUWS
et al.

Abstract: The seismic shear wave velocity is the geophysical parameter which is widely used by engineers to predict the stability of sediments under dynamic load conditions. In particular, in earthquake engineering studies it is used to estimate ground motion amplification and the liquefaction potential of unconsolidated sediments in response to earthquake vibrations.
