“…Apart from the mentioned findings, the rest of the results of the AUC-ROCs ranged from 0.50 to 0.68 and were in line with most studies, finding that anthropometric indices have a poor ability to discriminate abnormal lipids levels. In a recent study in children from China ( n = 65,347), the AUC-ROCs for BMI poorly predicted high TC (0.55, CI: 0.53–0.57), high LDL (0.60, CI: 0.57–0.62), low HDL (0.59, CI: 0.58–0.61), and high TG (0.66, CI: 0.65–0.68) [ 33 ]. Furthermore, the last extensive meta-analysis in children and adolescents ( n = 169,630) from the American continent, Europe, Asia, and Africa supports this tendency.…”

“…Seafood helps people consume critical nutrients such as vitamin B, selenium, iodine, zinc, calcium, phosphorus, copper, and iron as well as the fat-soluble D, and A vitamins. It is an effective protein and energy source possessing a significant nutritive value ( Jayasekara et al ., 2020 ). In comparison to fast food and manufactured meat byproducts, fish and shellfish products seem to be the healthier option among animal products ( Boukid et al , 2022 ).…”

“…Fish is a significant nutrient component in the human diet, providing easily digestible high‐quality proteins rich with essential amino acids, and heart‐healthy omega‐3‐fatty acids along with several vitamins and minerals including micro‐nutrients. Food‐fish meets a recognizable share of the nutrient needs of the consumers, above any other single source of food (Jayasekara et al., 2020). The recommended dietary requirement of fish is 28 g per day per person (Willet et al., 2019).…”
