Search for Nucleon and Dinucleon Decays with an Invisible Particle and a Charged Lepton in the Final State at the Super-Kamiokande Experiment

Abstract: Artículo escrito por muchos autores, sólo se referencian el primero, los autores que firman como Universidad Autónoma de Madrid y el grupo de colaboración en el caso de que aparezca en el artículoSearch results for nucleon decays p→e+X, p→μ+X, n→νγ (where X is an invisible, massless particle) as well as dinucleon decays np→e+ν, np→μ+ν, and np→τ+ν in the Super-Kamiokande experiment are presented. Using single-ring data from an exposure of 273.4 kton·yr, a search for these decays yields a result consistent with … Show more

“…6 In the right-most column of Table II, we list our estimates for the lower bounds on n →νγ obtained by combining the relation (10) with the experimental lower bounds given in the middle column. As is again evident from this table, our approximate lower bounds on (τ /B) n→νγ using the experimental limits on n →νπ 0 and n →νη are stronger than the bound from a direct experimental search, which is (τ /B) n→νγ > 0.550 × 10 33 yr [15].…”

“…Several of the classes of integrals for np → ℓ +ν are the same as those for pp → ℓ + ν decays, which we have already analyzed. These are the C (N N ′ ) k with k = 7, 13,15,16,17,19. For the other classes, we calculate the integrals…”

“…[18] carried out such an analysis and obtained a lower bound (τ /B) np→τ +ν τ > 1 × 10 30 yr per 16 O nucleus. Subsequently, from a direct search, SK obtained the limit [19] (τ /B) np→τ + x > 2.9 × 10 31 yr (33)…”
