Abstract:, is a 1 kton liquid scintillator neutrino observatory mainly designed to study low energy neutrinos from gravitational stellar collapses. LVD is sensitive to core-collapse supernovae via neutrino burst detection with 100% efficiency over the entire Galaxy.
