“…Polymorphic sites in innateimmunity genes associated with predisposition to mycobacterial infections (SLC11A1, MBL2, TLR2, P2RX7, IL10, and TNFA) have been studied in remains of 151 people in time series data (1st-18th centuries AD) from Northern and Eastern Poland (Lewandowska et al, 2018). In time series data from Poland (1st-18th centuries AD), polymorphic sites in the six innate-immunity genes that are associated with predisposition to mycobacterial infections have been analyzed [7]. Signs of selection were found there for rs17235409 of the SLC11A1 gene and for rs1800896 of the IL10 gene; this phenomenon may be due to the spread of tuberculosis in Europe.…”
