Searching for supersymmetry: the μνSSM

Abstract: We review the role played by the 'µ from ν' supersymmetric standard model (µνSSM) in the search for supersymmetry. First, we discuss its theoretical motivation, that is the simultaneous solution of µ-and ν-problems through the introduction of right-handed neutrinos. The latter produces R-parity violation (RPV), giving rise to interesting signals of new physics. As by-products, in the µνSSM there are dark matter candidates, and electroweak baryogenesis can be realized. Then, we survey signals by which the model… Show more

“…However, the three left sneutrinos are almost decoupled, and we are left with the doublet-like pseudoscalar and the three right sneutrinos contributing to this channel. The latter states can be even lighter than the SM-like Higgs [6,69]. The predictions of these scenarios could be constrained with the ATLAS searches [70].…”

“…They can be used as an additional source of masses for theŜ fields Table 1 Chiral superfields in UμνSSM models and their quantum numbers, for the solution in Eq. (6) with the presence of the extra quark singletsK i andK c i , i = 1, 2, 3. The indexes i , α, α and α correspond to the number of different singlet superfields.…”

“…As framework to study these signals we consider the recently proposed UμνSSM [7], 1 which is a U (1) extension of the 'μ from ν' supersymmetric standard model (μνSSM) [10] (for a recent review, see Ref. [11]). In such a framework the three decay modes (diboson, and exotic di/multiboson) are present.…”
