Second and third virial coefficients of low-molecular-weight polystyrene with a benzyl end in toluene

Abstract: Light-scattering measurements were taken on six samples of polystyrene (PS) with a benzyl group at one end of the chain (benzyl-PS) in toluene at 15 1C. The second and third virial coefficients (A 2 and A 3 , respectively) were determined as functions of weight-average molecular weight, M w , which ranges from 6.0Â10 2 to 1.2Â10 4 .
