“…Although no cases of MASC with an intraductal growth pattern have been described, it should be noted that only one IDC/LGCCC was included in the control group tested for the ETV6-NTRK3 fusion in Skalova et al's original description of MASC [11]. In addition, secretory carcinoma of the breast with an intraductal component has been reported [12], however without molecular confirmation. For now, the presence of a complete myoepithelial layer around tumor nests is considered specific to IDC/LGCCC amongst salivary carcinomas [2,3,5,8], and is the preferred diagnosis for this tumor.…”

“…However, subsequent reports suggested that only a third of the published cases occurred in children, and the median age for patients with an SBC is 25 years 126. SBCs account for <1% of invasive breast carcinomas and are characterised clinically by late local recurrences and prolonged survival even with lymph node involvement 5 7 1012. Distant metastases are exceedingly rare 10.…”

“…Although intraductal components usually accompany with invasive SBC [5], no research has focused on the in situ lesions of SBC. We reviewed the previous studies of SBC from 1990 to 2018; intraductal secretory carcinoma with invasive components was described in several studies [68], with or without specific description of in situ components. Only five cases of pure secretory carcinoma in situ have been reported to our knowledge [911], including three cases in a research investigating the expression of STAT 5a which had no clinicpathological details except ages and genders [11], and the significance of this uncommon lesion was not discussed further.…”
