Security-aware routing and localization for a directional mission critical network

Abstract: There has been recent interest in the development of untethered sensor nodes that communicate directionally via free space optical communications for mission critical settings in which high-speed link guarantees in hostile environments are needed. Directional wireless optical sensor networks have the potential to provide gigabits per second speeds for relatively low power consumption enabling bursty traffic and longer network lifetimes. In randomly deployed sensor settings, the crucial steps of ad hoc route se… Show more

“…In general power flow calculation, voltage measurement and node injection power measurement are known, and the measurement number is exactly equal to the number of states to be calculated [16,17]. e types of measurement in parameter identification include the following three types [18]: node voltage amplitude, node injection power measurement, and branch first and end power values.…”

“…For example, service management can effectively discover the devices and applications, and schedule efficient and reliable services to meet requests. A service, such as security consideration [34], can be considered as a behavior, including collection, exchanging, and storage of data, or an association of these behaviors to achieve a special objective. In MC-SSN, according to the mission, some requirements can be met by only one service, while other requirements have to be met by the integration of multiple services.…”

“…The improved network security is one of the critical elements that make OSNs ideal, for example, for military applications [9,10]. In addition, employing a large number of sensor nodes in an OSN may improve the transmission bit error rate and alleviate non-line-of-sight communication when light is blocked and atmospheric effects are faced in freespace optical communication [11,12].…”
