“…Due to the necessary longtime storage of MRFs in many applications, it is important to understand the effect of sedimentation on MRF performance. Vėžys et al [ 69 ] determined the effect of the sedimentation of industrial MRFs on the torque moment of magnetorheological brakes. Sedimentation studies were performed by measuring the electrical resistivity between the top and bottom of the fluid, with the difference in resistance between the sensors directly proportional to the degree of sedimentation.…”

“…Hence, the history of pallets was known and recorded in a WMSindependent database system by tagging them with an information vector (Figure 13). Possible solutions were also analyzed among the effects of works [50][51][52].…”

“…Hence, the history of pallets was known and recorded in a WMS-independent database system by tagging them with an information vector (Figure 13). Possible solutions were also analyzed among the effects of works [50][51][52]. The information vector data was expressed in GS-1 128 code symbology, in the "B" coding set, using the (IZ) [53] standard application identifier.…”

“…Most of the monitoring methods proposed for MR fluid sedimentation were carried out in the laboratory, and the MR fluid was enclosed by a non-magnetic tube, which is favorable for MR fluid preparation and optimization, but it is futile when we hope to investigate the MR fluid which services an actual device such as a damper or clutch. Vezys et al (2018) developed a method for sedimentation sensing in a MR brake via resistivity measuring, in which the MR fluid sedimentation is characterized with the magnetic field strength and the time of standing still, but failed to correlate the resistivity with the concentration of MR fluid. Gillet et al (2020) proposed a novel method to track the degradation of an MR clutch by correlating the clearness percentage of MR fluid with the established durability metric of "life dissipated energy" (LDE), where the clearness of MR fluid is sensed by an optical red green blue sensor.…”
