Abstract:How to constrain the onset of continental subduction and prograde metamorphism in an orogen remains a fundamental question. The widespread Triassic ultrahigh‐pressure (UHP) metamorphic rocks in the Dabie orogen in central‐east China are generally attributed to continental subduction. The earliest Triassic peripheral basins (the Huangshi, Yueshan and Nanjing basins) around the Dabie orogen represent an ideal archive to reconstruct the early evolution of the orogen. Here we present a multidisciplinary provenance… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
