Abstract:Au@C core–shell nanostructures (Au@C-NS) were synthesized through a low-temperature seed-assisted hydrothermal approach using glucose as carbon source. The material characterization and chemical analysis confirm that the synthesis method allows to obtain uniform core–shell nanostructures constituted by a crystalline metal core and an amorphous carbon shell.
