Abstract:More than half of patients hospitalized with liver cirrhosis are dealing with an episode of acute kidney injury; the most severe pattern is hepatorenal syndrome due to its negative prognosis. The main physiopathology mechanisms involve renal vasoconstriction and systemic inflammation.
