Abstract:Completely Autotrophic Nitrogen-removal Over Nitrite (CANON) moving bed biofilm reactor (MBBR) is a biofilm-based nitrogen removal system where both nitritation (ammonia oxidation to nitrite) and anaerobic ammonium oxidation (anammox) reactions occur in a single reactor under oxygen-controlled conditions.
