Blockchain technology has a potential benefit of becoming valuable asset in ferry transportation industry to increase safety, transparency, efficiency and meet increasing market demands in meeting safety and sustainability standards. This study aims to find the important role of blockchain technology in the development of ferry transportation. Two main approaches in describing analytical techniques include bibliometrics to find derivatives of blockchain technology concept, and analytical hierarchy process to obtain alternative priorities in the development of ferry transportation. Journal publications within last ten years obtained through searches on Google Scholar are used as the main data in developing scientific literature analysis. The results found that several alternatives play an important role in the development of blockchain technology applied to ferry transportation include data and transaction security, supply chain tracking, identity and access management, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, interoperability with external systems, transparency and accountability. Three alternatives in developing blockchain technology are main priority in this study and potential to have high novelty value, including data and transaction security, operational efficiency and supply chain tracking. The results of study recommend that the operationalization of ferry transportation really requires the development of blockchain technology to encourage increased safety and sustainability of ferry transportation.

PurposeThis paper addresses a crucial research need by examining the influence of compatibility, a pivotal design element for hotel concierge apps, on the socio-psychological dynamics of digital hotel guests. While prior research has examined the constructs, their application to digital concierge apps introduces a unique context. We posit that compatibility significantly influences central variables rooted in theory of planned behaviors (TPBs) and technology acceptance model (TAM), fostering positive usage intentions.Design/methodology/approachAnalyzing data from 668 four-star hotel guests through PLS-SEM substantiates compatibility’s role, endorsing the theoretical amalgamation of affordance, TPB, and TAM frameworks.FindingsCompatibility positively affected perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and attitude toward behavior. Besides, usage intention positively affected willingness to pay a price premium and revisit intention.Originality/valueThis paper adopts compatibility as a unifying force for integrating TPB and TAM; the predictive ability of digital concierges' usage intentions on revisit intentions to upscale hotels. Further, this paper is the first attempt to highlight employing compatibility as a pivotal design factor for digital concierge apps in the hospitality setting.
To mitigate the impact of network security on the production environment in the industrial internet, this paper proposes a confidence rule-based security assessment model for the industrial internet that uses selective modeling. First, a definition of selective modeling tailored to the characteristics of the industrial internet is provided. Based on this, the assessment process of the Selectable Belief Rule Base (BRB-s) model is introduced. Then, in combination with the Selection covariance matrix adaptive evolution strategy (S-CMA-ES) algorithm, a parameter optimization method for the BRB-s model is designed, which expands the selective constraints on expert knowledge. This model establishes a better unidirectional selection strategy among different subgroups, and while expanding the selection constraints on expert knowledge, it achieves better evaluation results. This effectively addresses the issue of reduced modeling accuracy caused by insufficient data and poor data quality. Finally, the experiments of different evaluation models on industrial data sets are compared, and good results are obtained, which verify the evaluation accuracy of the industrial Internet network security situation assessment model proposed in this paper and the feasibility and effectiveness of the S-CMA-ES optimization algorithm.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
