Seismic Fragility Analysis of Multispan Continuous Girder Bridges with Varying Pier Heights considering Their Bond‐Slip Behavior

Abstract: The bond-slip effect has a great influence on the seismic performance of reinforced concrete structures and ignoring it will overestimate the seismic performance of the structures. Based on the low-cyclic reversed loading experiment of a reinforced concrete column, this paper uses OpenSees to establish a nonlinear finite element model considering bond-slip and verify its correctness. In this paper, a multispan continuous girder bridge with varying pier heights is taken as an example. Considering the effect of … Show more

“…Over the past years, studies on the seismic performance of continuous girder bridges have mostly focused on large-span, new technology continuous girder bridges and the vulnerability under spatial earthquakes. For example, Cao et al [4] investigated the seismic susceptibility of a multi-span continuous girder bridge considering the slip behavior of steel bars by using the incremental dynamic analysis (IDA) method. Similarly, based on numerical simulation and the IDA method, Yuen et al [5] studied the effect of prestress loss on the vulnerability of Post-tensioned Precast Concrete Segmental Bridges (PT-PCSB) under different ultimate states.…”

“…Pan et al [8] proposed a curve fitting method based on the damage index demand to capability ratio model to analyze the seismic vulnerability of New York continuous steel bridges. Cao et al [9] studied the seismic fragility of multispan continuous girder bridges with consideration of the bond-slip behavior using the IDA method. Relatively little research has been done on the seismic vulnerability of bridges during construction.…”

“…Bukan hanya di Indonesia, menjabarkan gempa Northridge 1994 di Amerika Serikat, Gempa Kobe 1995 di Jepang, dan Wenchuan 2005 Gempa di China juga mengakibatkan rusaknya jembatan (Cao et al, 2020). Akibat rusaknya jembatan yang berfungsi sebagai sarana ransportasi akan memblokir lalu lintas dan bahkan mempengaruhi penyelamatan dan rekonstruksi setelah bencana.…”
