Abstract:We present a seismic processing workflow that significantly improves subsurface images of hydrocarbon targets in shallow water. Our workflow is dependent on an integrated velocity model building toolkit, which works well for salt geometry and sediment velocity model building. The workflow addresses the challenges associated with complex salt structures and produces an improved subsurface seismic image in the complex salt province. A real case is presented here to demonstrate the workflow.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
