Seismic vulnerability analysis of simply supported continuous bridge during construction

Abstract: PurposeIn order to explore the damage probability of bridge engineering in the event of earthquake in the construction stages, the analysis method of seismic vulnerability in the construction stages is proposed in this paper.Design/methodology/approachBased on the joint simulation function of construction stage conditions and seismic response conditions of MIDAS/Civil finite element analysis software, combined with the method of IDA analysis and compared the relationship between demand and capacity.FindingsThe… Show more

“…The construction stage seismic vulnerability has been researched by Li et al [35][36][37] and it has been suggested to apply in the seismic insurance by Li et al [36]. On the basis of Li et al [35,36], the construction stage seismic resilience will be further studied in this study.…”

“…In recent years, after continuous in-depth research on RB from all walks of life, an optimization model has emerged that takes the total resource cost, scheduling cost, resource fluctuation cost, etc. as the optimization goal, which also broadens the optimization scope of traditional RBO [2].…”

“…The results showed that the bridge in aftershock areas was prone to cracking and failure during construction. Xiong et al [16] calculated the probability of damage during earthquakes during the bridge stage, providing strategies for bridges under construction to resist earthquakes. Luo et al [17] studied the failure probabilities of a prestressed concrete continuous rigid frame bridge under earthquake action by using the IDA method.…”
