Pteridophyta has been studied and conserved at the botanical garden. However, few have found and documented the medicinal properties of Pteridophyta species. The study identified species diversity and ethnopharmacology of Pteridophyta collected in Cyathea Park, Bali. Field exploration research and literature review were used in this study. The research was conducted by directly exploring the species of Pteridophyta collected in Cyathea Park, Bali and literature studies on the benefits and ethnopharmacology of Pteridophyta species are used as candidates and raw materials for traditional medicine. Data search is carried out systematically by utilizing databases and keywords. All the data is examined qualitatively and descriptively. The study's findings indicate nine species: Cyathea contaminans (Wall.ex Hook) Copel, Asplenium nidus L., Asplenium sp., Selaginella sp., Diplazium esculentum., Angiopteris evecta (G.Forst.) Hoffm, Cyatheasp., Nephrolepis hirsutula (Forst), and Dicksonia blumei (Kunze) Moore. The leaves and shoots are the most frequently used raw materials in medicine. At the same time, the roots, stems, and hair are utilized in planting mediums, crafts, games, and food production. Pteridophyta species treat fever, cough, anticonvulsant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, antidiuretic, antioxidant, insecticide, larvicide, diabetes, and anti-retroviral. As many as nine identified species Pteridophyta in Cyathea Park, Bali has benefits as traditional medicinal agents and has been widely used by the people as the culture of the archipelago. Its pharmacological, phytochemical and toxicity properties need further investigations.

Pteridophytes have been studied and preserved in botanical gardens. However, only a few have discovered and documented the medicinal properties of Pteridophyta species. This study aims to promote the utilization of Pteridophyta species in Taman Cyathea, Bali, as traditional medicine agents by conducting a comprehensive literature review with a novelty of 15 years (2008-2022) on the ethnopharmacology and species diversity of the plant division. This research was conducted by directly exploring Pteridophyta species collected in Taman Cyathea, Bali, and a meta-synthesis was carried out related to the potential use of these species as traditional medicinal agents. The STARLITE principle was used for the article search, and ENTREQ was used for transparency in reporting meta-synthetic results. The study was conducted by searching the databases with keywords set according to the inclusion criteria. Findings in the field showed that there were as many as nine species of Pteridophyta identified as having benefits as traditional medicine agents, including Cyathea contaminans (Wall ex Hook) Copel., Asplenium nidus L., Asplenium sp., Selaginella sp., Diplazium esculentum, Angiopteris evecta (G.Forst.) Hoffm, Cyathea sp., Nephrolepis hirsutula (Forst) C. Presl and Dicksonia blumei (Kunze) Moore. The results of the meta-synthesis obtained 49 articles that met the study criteria; leaves, shoots, roots, stems, and hairs were used for various purposes, including restorative materials, planting media, crafts, game materials, and food ingredients. Pteridophyta species treat fever, cough, anticonvulsant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, antidiuretic, immunomodulatory, antioxidant, insecticide, larvicide, diabetes, and antiretroviral diseases, among others, so their potential use as traditional medicine agents and candidates for standardized herbs or phytopharmaceuticals have promising prospects in the future. However, its pharmacological, phytochemical, and toxicity properties must be investigated further.

Nanotechnology has changed and developed all the sectors and working fields. Nanoparticles are one of the important evolutionary materials that have application in almost all the working areas such as catalysis, bioengineering, photoelectricity, antibacterial, anticancer, and medical imaging due to their unique physical and chemical properties. Traditionally used chemical and physical method of synthesis of nanoparticles have several disadvantages like using different chemicals, high cost, and most importantly they are hazardous to the environment. Counter to these disadvantages, a more eco‐friendly, easy, and cost‐effective green synthesis method is widely employed nowadays. Various parts of a plant are used as a fuel for reducing the metal ion salt. Plant extracts act as reducing, stabilizing, and capping agents. Besides these advantages, photosynthesized nanoparticles are nontoxic, more stable, and more uniform in size than their counterparts prepared by the traditional method. In this present review, the synthesis of various plant extract‐mediated metal and metal oxide nanoparticles is discussed along with their different applications. This review provides a comprehensive overview of key findings in green synthesis of metal and metal oxide nanoparticles and attempts to determine their possible synthesis mechanism. This article also focuses on factors affecting their synthesis, characterization, potential applications, and prospects.
