Selected Properties of Reinforcing Composite Bars for Concrete Elements Prepared from Waste Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) Bottles

Abstract: A concept of producing reinforcing bars for concrete elements from waste polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles is presented in the paper. The proposed technology of production harnesses strips of PET cut from bottles and thermal treatment. Finally, a sand-resin coating is applied to the composite bars.
