Selecting the intersegment interval for TCP in telecomms networks using fuzzy inference system

Abstract: One of the most important developments of Telecommunications networks in the last few years has been centered around the provision of resources for streamed and real-time data. Since it is necessary to guarantee the delivery of packets then a reliable Transport Protocol is required i.e. TCP.However TCP has a number of parameters that need to be configured for different services to optimize the delivery of packets. Selection of values for these parameters is vital since they can affect the overall performance o… Show more

“… shirt duration of connections as a result of a rapid network topology change and regrouping;  high level of probability to distort the information due to radio noises waves;  substantial packet transfer delays determined by the low radio channels' bandwidth;  significant packets losses as a result of frequent network overloads, which occur due to the nonpermanent traffic [5]. The impact of the factors mentioned above turns up in decrease of the quantity of information and the increase of the information delivery time, which is unacceptable when constructing the remote and hazardous facilities.…”

“…Receiving requests for real-time flows transfer from subscribers of MANET changes in a random way (Polschykov et al, 2015). At reduction of these inquiries receipt intensity the network loading decreases, channels work in the underloaded mode, pauses in their use are observed (Rvachova et al, 2015). At essential increase of users activity in network temporary deficiency of channel resources is observed, MANET overload occurs.…”
