Selective Immobilization of Silver Nanoparticles onto Poly(acrylic acid)-Patterned Poly(tetrafluoroethylene) Surface Prepared by Using Radiation-Induced Graft Polymerization

Abstract: Selective immobilization of silver nanoparticles on a polymer surface by using ion irradiation-induced graft polymerization was demonstrated in this research. Poly(tetrafluoroethylene) (PTFE) films were irradiated with accelerated proton ions through a pattern mask. Acrylic acid (AA) was graft polymerized selectively on the irradiated regions of the PTFE surface at various fluences.
