Abstract: The high concentration of penicillin antibiotics in wastewater inhibits the function of biological treatment systems. In this study, we optimized the goethite (FeOOH)−Zn(II) system and used the hydrolysis pretreatment process for the selective removal of penicillin antibiotics from pharmaceutical wastewater.
