Abstract:Selective Synthesis of Fluorinated Benzyl-or Phenylpyrimidines from the Heterocyclization of α-Trifluoroacetylarylpropanenitriles. -The new method allows the preparation of fluorinated phenyl-or benzylpyrimidines, analogues of trimethoprim and pyrimethamine, simply by varying the nature of the solvent.
