Selenium and cancer

Abstract: In a nutshellSelenium has potential protective effects across the whole cancer life cycle. Observational and some clinical evidence support a preventive role, but the outcome of RCTs has been mixed.It may be that the best effect is from organic selenium in those with low baseline levels, and possibly particular selenoprotein genotypes.
