“…From the above-mentioned related models, it is acknowledged that there is a relationship between the received power and the position of the Rx. 5,6 In other words, it is possible to estimate the received power if Rx's location is known, thus, allow predicting the missing CSI signals and complete the unfinished H-matrix caused by missing CSI. However, it is challenging for the RSS-based positioning model to determine the location of the Rx(s) if more than two CSI signals are missing (in other words, only a single Tx is remaining) due to the shadowing effect.…”

“…In MIMO VLC systems, the links may experience blocking and shadowing due to user’s mobility, thus affecting both CSI and the H-matrix. One of the first approaches that applied the RSS-based positioning scheme address this problem and achieve the H-matrix with full rank in the 4×4 MIMO VLC was proposed by Le-Minh et al 6 . By using CSI of three out of four Txs, the proposed model determined the position of the Rx by applying the trilateration algorithm, i.e., finding the unique intersection of the three circles.…”

“…MIMO-VLC systems have thus become an attractive approach for increasing the channel capacity, particularly in an indoor environment. Such systems have already been demonstrated to achieve Gbps data rates and been reported in [5]- [7]. There are two main categories for a MIMO-VLC system: (a) imaging MIMO which is similar to a camera communication technique, which requires an optical subsystem.…”
