Abstract:Enriching erythrocytes and platelets in seconds and providing a fast seal in bleeding sites is vital to fatal hemorrhage control. Herein, hydrophilic chitosan fibrous mats (CECS-D mats) are fabricated by introducing hydrophilic carboxyethyl groups and subsequent catechol groups onto chitosan fibers.
