Abstract:High-power femtosecond optical vortices directly generated from lasers will advance their applications in material processing, optical manipulation, and communication, but the average power achieved so far has been limited. In this work, we apply for the first time a Sagnac interferometer to directly output high-power femtosecond vortices from a Kerr-lens mode-locked thin-disk oscillator. By varying the parameters of the Sagnac interferometric structure, we can also alternate between the Laguerre−Gaussian vort… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
