Semantic Annotation of Resources of Distance Learning Based Intelligent Agents

Abstract: Abstract-This paper presents a system based on intelligent agents for the semantic annotation of learning resources taking into account the context of training. Semantic annotations systems rarely treat existing semantic annotations in the field of distance education (e-learning). Most researchers in the field of education limit annotations to specific cases (teacher annotation, learner annotation, annotation of electronic documents etc.) these annotations are edited by users with annotation tools. In turn, in… Show more

“…For these research limitations, we will be exploring in future works the hybridization of ML techniques with the ontology-based recommendation approach as suggested by [34] to upgrade the variety of learner features used for recommendation in adherence to the MOOC recommendation criteria. In this sense, educational resources management systems use ontologies to share information and annotate semantically these resources [35]. The semantic annotations will enable matching MOOC content knowledge with the sought knowledge by a target learner.…”

“…Abderrahman et al [19] proposed a semantic annotation system for information extraction from dispersed online educational resources such as electronic documents. This information is stored in a warehouse that consists of two parts: database and descriptors.…”

“…When the activity is carried out with students, they then read a text given by the teacher in the classroom and, on it, write notes on certain parts of the text [21]. The annotations can be free text or they can also refer to concepts that appear in the text and that are defined in an ontology provided by the teacher [1]. The activity ends by giving the teacher a work where a discussion of the annotated text is developed using the annotations made.…”
