Introduction: Semantic Process Mining is the extension field of process mining that is based on getting knowledge of conceptual event logs (based on ontologies) for analyzing frequent and rare processes. In the healthcare studies, semantic process mining has been used in different hospitals in order to improve processes.Material and Methods: A review of the usages of semantic process mining in hospitals is done. This review contains 65 articles from PubMed, dblp and Google scholar. It is searched from 2000 to 2017. One of them was duplicated and finally, we received 64 articles. Data were extracted according to PRISMA guidelines.Results: Out of 64 articles, 6 of them were related with inclusion and exclusion criteria. Most of them detect business process mining. In 80% of studies, the semantic process mining was useful and effective to improve hospital processes and improve its management.Conclusion: This review can show an overview the application of process mining in hospitals. It can help researchers to compare semantic process mining with other methods for improving processes in hospitals and finally, it shows the use of semantic process mining to enhance hospitals processes.

Business process logs are composed of event records generated, collected and analyzed at different locations, asynchronously and under the responsibility of different authorities. Their analysis is often delegated to auditors who have a mandate for monitoring processes and computing metrics but do not always have the rights to access the individual events used to compute them. A major challenge of this scenario is reconciling the requirements of privacy and access control with the need to continuously monitor and assess the business process. In this paper, we present a model, a language and a software toolkit for controlling access to process data where logs are made available as streams of RDF triples referring to some company-specific business ontology. Our approach is based on the novel idea of dynamic enforcement: we incrementally build dynamic filters for each process instance, based on the applicable access control policy and on the current prefix of the event stream. The implementation and performance validation of our solution is also presented.

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to propose a system for automated learning directed towards discovering and enhancement of the set of recurrent behaviours that can be found within a learning knowledge base and how th ey can be modelled to enable a more effective reasoning and tactical strategies for personalized adaptation and decision making. De sign/Methodology/Approach: T he paper introduces a methodology that makes use of information readily available within a learning process to explore and analyse the data to obtain inference knowledge capable of enhancing individual learning performance. The author valuated this approach through a user-centric design prototype and a model developed using Business Process Model Notations to corroborate the focus on improving performance of e-learning systems. Findings: The technological response to satisfying the increasing demand for richer and more precise depiction of e-learning applications capable of providing platforms for pattern exploration where users can browse for knowledge they might consider as interesting; is by providing a personalized adaptive learning system for the users. Adoption of such technological developments will spark a great success for many learners and needed to provide continuous intelligent recommendation, guidance and feedbacks on learner's performance especially in achieving the overall learning objective. Re search limitations/implications: T o meet the overall needs of intended users, there is requirement for e-learning systems to embody technologies that support learners in achieving their learning goals and this process don't happen automatically . Such process should take into account the fact that there is an additional task of matching these persons (user profiling) with solutions that best fits their particular learning needs (personalization). Practical implications: T he work in this paper considers the implication of the user centred design approach, and to this end, identify some of the common design problems with e-learning systems as means to revealing the implications for designers to stick to user-centric standards when developing automated learning systems in order to ensure learners satisfaction and reliability. O riginality/value: The approach and prototype described in this paper provides a more enhanced model for learning which is useful towards the development of e-learning systems that are more intelligent, predictive and robotically adaptive, which also aid in discovery of new learning patterns and enhancement of existing learning processes.
