Abstract:The article is devoted to the problem of presenting professional incompetence in Hollywood film productions. It was concluded that the construction of images of “incompetent professionals” in the plots of the considered films is carried out by creating images of film heroes consisting of positively and negatively colored features: kind, cheerful, carefree and boastful on the one hand, and professionally undefined, irresponsible, greedy, insidious and dissatisfied with the world on the other hand.
