“…Entrapment efficiency was the highest (70%) when the concentration of CS/TPP was 0.4/0.095. These results might be due to an increased number of interacting units at higher polymer concentrations and to cross-linker levels that lead to the observed increase in particle size and entrapment efficiency [32,33]. …”

“…Chitosan resin was synthesised adopting half crosslinking method [4] . And the appropriate weight of chitosan resin was suspended in 20% (v/v) ethanol solution which includes appropriate amount of quercetin, the reaction was carried out at room temperature for 0.5h under gentle agitation, but while the pH value was adjusted to 10.5~11.5 and the temperature to 75~85 , 1,6-hexanediol diglycidyl was added and the grafted reaction was occurred for 3 h. Subseequently the product was filtered and washed by ethanol for removing free quercetin consecutively, the next it was dialyzed by deionized water for 12h.…”

“…In the process of preparation, the crosslinked chitosan resin was first prepared using a half cross-linking method as in Ref (27). Then, the cross-linked chitosan resin (20 g) was suspended in 200 mL, 20% (v=v) ethanol solution which included an appropriate amount of quercetin, the reaction was carried out at room temperature for 0.5 h under gentle agitation.…”
