Abstract: Fibroblast activation protein (FAP), predominantly expressed in activated fibroblasts, plays a key role in inflammatory bone diseases, but its role in periodontitis remains unclear. Accordingly, this study identified a positive association between FAP levels and periodontitis susceptibility using Mendelian randomization analysis.
