Learning Sirah has a sequence of incidents, locations and dates that need to be recognised and understood during the journey of a particular story through reading. Most students easily get distracted quickly when engaged with much reading and lack the desire to learn only using traditional teaching methods. Therefore, the best alternatives should be applied in teaching and learning to stimulate and enhance students' interest in learning Sirah with the integration of multimedia and geographical element such as location, distance, coordinate, and direction. Thus, this study aims to enhance a prototype of the Geo-Sirah application for primary school students and obtain users' acceptance of the proposed Geo-Sirah prototype. ADDIE model was adapted to develop the prototype. The results showed that the mean score of perceived ease of use was higher than other criteria with 4.47, followed by intention to use the application (mean score = 4.39). The mean score obtained on perceive usefulness was 4.38 and attitude was 4.36. It shows that perceived ease of use, and intention to use the application in Sirah subject positively impacted user acceptance and interest in using the application to learn Sirah subject with the geography element through animated storytelling.

Despite significant capability deprivation existing among the teachers in historically disadvantaged schools in the Western Cape province of South Africa, information and communication technologies (ICTs) have had a significant positive effect on teaching and learning. In the case study reported on here we investigated the benefits of using ICTs by public primary school teachers in teaching and learning. Sen’s capability approach was used to frame this study. We employed a qualitative research method in which 8 teachers were involved in lesson observations and semi-structured interviews. The findings reveal that, to some extent, through the teachers’ use of ICTs (commodities) in smart classrooms, the influence of personal conversion factors (ICT skills obtained through a community of practice and university training), had created the capabilities for teachers to use ICTs for curriculum delivery, although to a limited extent. Through this process, teachers benefited with specific vital achievements. From the study we recommend that holistic and annual professional development training programmes should be made mandatory for both novice and seasoned teachers.

Google Maps is indispensable for helping tourists navigate Thailand, which is a popular tourist destination. It includes comprehensive maps, points of interest, and lodging, dining, and attraction recommendations. It contributes to Thailand’s tourism industry’s growth by enhancing the overall travel experience (Amornvivat et al., 2017; The Nation, 2023). This study explains the Google Maps application’s impact on Thailand’s digital economy. This research adopted interviews with six Google Maps consumers and six business owners. Content analysis and NVivo were used to analyse the data. The results show that the Google Map application simplifies locating businesses, making reservations, and placing orders for users. Additionally, Google Maps recommends nearby businesses that may interest the user based on their location and preferences. Through mobile commerce and local recommendations, it encourages users to explore new businesses and stimulates local spending. Google Maps has had a significant impact on the digital economy in Thailand. It helps businesses increase visibility, interact with customers, and attract foot traffic to their physical locations. It also facilitates mobile commerce, provides local recommendations, and aids the tourism industry. Google Maps contributes to digital domain economic growth, increased sales, and enhanced user experiences by connecting users with pertinent businesses and facilitating efficient navigation.
