It has been related, for example, to psychological well-being in a sample of 556 Turkish university students [20], nding a positive relationship between SOC and hope, subjective well-being, life satisfaction and positive affect; a negative and signi cant relationship was also observed between SOC and negative affect, in addition to the important role of hope as a mediator between SOC and subjective well-being. Arya and Lal [21] were interested in the grit construct coined by Duckwroth, et al [22] which encompasses both passion and perseverance in order to achieve long-term goals; in their study involving 250 students, the ndings revealed a positive relationship between grit and wellbeing, with SOC functioning as a mediating variable between both.…”
